Fixed-term until 10 September 2019
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Politics, History and International Relations at Loughborough University, part of the School of Social, Political and Geographical Sciences.
Committed to providing the best possible student experience, the Department has established a reputation for promoting innovative teaching methods and has a record of excellent NSS results. As researchers, we are engaged in work across the fields of political science, political theory, public policy, international relations and modern history. Our aim is to stimulate innovative research that has the potential to transform academic and public debates. As a multidisciplinary department, most of our research falls between the humanities and the political and social sciences, but we also produce a substantial body of interdisciplinary work.
The Department wishes to appoint a lecturer with a specialism in Modern German History on a fixed-term contract until 10 September 2019. The post-holder will be expected to offer specialist options at Parts B and C, as well as contributing to team-taught core undergraduate history modules. Experience of teaching surveys of modern Europe and options on Nazism would be an advantage, as would experience of teaching a fieldtrip to Germany.
Informal enquiries should be made to Professor Moya Lloyd, Head of Department, by email at email@example.com.
Application closing date: 14 August 2017
Interviews will be held on: 14 September 2017
