The grant starts on September 1st, 2021, with a monthly stipend of € 1.600 (German law requires a suitable insurance while living in Germany).
● actively participating in the research group’s projects and events
● researching the subproject “Audre Lorde: A Political Biography”
● writing a dissertation
● excellent degree in history, focus on US-history (Master’s or equivalent)
● extensive knowledge on cultural history of the United States and its entanglements within the transatlantic world (United States – Germany)
● international experience: internships or studies abroad
● emphasis on history of women, sexuality, and gender
