This workshop brings together scholars of Africa and South Asia to explore the intersections of African, South Asian, and Jewish experiences of the Holocaust. It will focus on historical encounters, intellectual discourse, and cultural production while also examining the varied ways in which Holocaust memory has been incorporated into contemporary political projects.

This in-person workshop in Cambridge, England, is held by Trinity College, Cambridge University, in cooperation with the Museum’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies.
